Coaching is a process which is a co-operation between a coach and a client. Usually the client comes with a topic which they want to work on, a topic that they feel like needs development, a topic that bothers them and they are looking for different perspectives, or simply they like to work on themselves and looking for guidance in their path. Additionally to the coaching process with my background in yoga, meditation and mindfulness also being trained as a mindfulness coach, I bring techniques of mindfulness into the sessions and also gently supporting the client into getting mindfulness as part of their lives.

What is mindfulness? I explain this in depth in the mindfulness page, but it’s simply as given a modern and secular meaning to it, as Jon Kabat-Zinn describes it, means an awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally, openly, kindly and friendly. So in coaching sessions we try to bring these qualities to the session and also to our everyday lives. And that’s only possible with a regular practice.

As a coach I hold space for you and we work on your agenda together, you speak and I listen to you, we apply different techniques of meditations as tasters and as a client you take responsibility of your transformation. Coaching is an active process of doing and getting in action, purposefully and intentionally. So it differs from therapy in this sense, we don’t analyse the past, but we always look at future, we focus on what can be done differently. Also coaching is a process oriented practice rather than being result oriented.
